The objective of Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana (SAGY) launched on 11 October 2014
Yojana
It is to inculcate values in the villages and their people so that they become a model village for others by improving their own lives. So that people imitate them and implement those changes on themselves as well.
The scheme encourages the MPs of both the Houses of Parliament to identify at least one village in their constituency and develop it as a model village by 2016. And 2019 makes more than 2,500 villages out of 6 lakh villages spread across the country a part of this scheme by including two more villages.
Recognitions of Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana:-
Accepting people's participation is a solution in itself to problems like this – ensure that all sections of the society participate in all aspects related to rural life to governance.
Follow Antyodaya - Enable the 'poorest and weakest person' of the village to lead a decent life.
Ensure gender equality and respect for women.
Ensure the guarantee of social justice.
Instill a sense of dignity of labor and community service and voluntarism.
Promote a culture of cleanliness.
To live as a companion of nature – ensure a balance between development and ecology.
Protect and promote local cultural heritage.
To continuously practice mutual cooperation, self-help, and self-reliance.
To promote peace and harmony in the rural community.
To exercise transparency, accountability, and honesty in public life.
To develop the spirit of local self-government.
To abide by the values enshrined in the Fundamental Rights and Fundamental Duties as enshrined in the Indian Constitution.
Objective:-
Main objectives include-
1. To accelerate the processes of leadership for the overall development of identified Gram Panchayats.
2. To improve the quality of life of all sections of the population through the following means-
infrastructure improvement
high productivity
enhance human development
better livelihood opportunities
reducing inequalities
realization of rights and entitlements
wider social mobility
rich social capital
3. To create models of local level development and effective local governance in such a way that the neighboring panchayats are motivated and encouraged to learn and adapt those models.
4. To develop identified model villages as centers of local development that can train other Gram Panchayats.

To achieve these objectives, SAGY will be guided by the following approach-
To harness the leadership, capability, commitment, and energy of the Member of Parliament (MP) to develop Model Village Panchayats.
Connecting the community and motivating initiatives for local-level development.
Coordinating various government programs, private and voluntary initiatives for comprehensive development commensurate with the aspirations and local potential of the people.
Develop partnerships with voluntary organizations, cooperatives, and educational and research institutions.
Focusing on results and sustainability.
Activities of Adarshgram:-
In an ideal village, the people in the Gram Panchayat, civil society, and government machinery should be duly supported by the parliamentarians to share perspectives, make the best possible use of their own capabilities and available resources. Naturally, an ideal village would be context-specific. However, definitively important activities are yet to be identified.
Latest information related to the scheme:-
The village adopted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi under Sasand Adarsh Village is Jayapur. The village adopted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi under Sasand Adarsh Village Jayapur has located 25 km from Banaras. People of many castes and communities live together in this village with a mixed population. It is said that this village has been a stronghold of the Sangh since its inception.
The population of the village is 2974. The number of males in this is 1541 while the number of females is 1433. The main occupation of the people here is agriculture. This village is deprived of basic facilities. There is neither a health center nor a middle school here. There is no veterinary hospital here. People have to go to the nearby village Jakkhini for many facilities.
About this village falling in the Sewapuri assembly constituency, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the name of this village was first heard when he came to Varanasi. However, due to the sad incident heard the name of this village. Five people had died due to fire in this village, due to which the name of this village was heard. At the same time, I joined this village. He said that we will make Jayapur a model village.
The people of Jayapur had dreamed about the construction of village roads for years, but it seems that the dream is now being fulfilled. There is a wave of happiness among the villagers seeing the development work being done. They hope that now the picture of the village will change.
After the adoption of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, his call was immediately welcomed by the people of Jayapur village. With the exercise of preserving the 300-year-old Mahua tree of the village, now a resolution is also being taken to celebrate the birth of a girl child. The villagers have figured out the way to arrange money for the marriage of the girl child.
Parents will now plant money-giving plants along with the birth of a girl child on the bunds of their fields and the vacant lands of the garden. Better than this step taken for girl's wealth as well as environmental protection.
