Aadhaar holders can update their unique ID records online or offline through the myAadhaar portal by visiting the nearest Aadhaar center by uploading supporting documents (proof of identity and proof of address).

UIDAI said in a statement that Aadhaar holders can update their Unique ID records online through the MyAadhaar portal or upload supporting documents offline.
"Inhabitants who were given their Aadhaar a long time back and never refreshed it during these years, such Aadhaar number holders are urged to refresh their records," the assertion said.
Proof of identity and proof of address can be updated online on the UIDAI website. The easy and hassle free process allows you to update your documents without visiting any office.
You can update your address online on the Self Service Update Portal (SSUP). You need to visit a Permanent Enrollment Center to update Aadhaar demographic details (name, address, date of birth, gender, mobile number, email) as well as other details such as biometrics (fingerprint, iris and photograph).
Here's how to update identity proof and address proof online
Go to Aadhaar SUP portal uidai.gov.in and select Update Address Online
- Enter your Aadhar Number or VID
- Enter the security code and request for OTP which will be sent to your registered mobile number
- Enter received OTP
- Select "Address" option and submit
- Enter all your address details carefully and hit the submit button and finally confirm
Attach color scanned copy of supporting documents and click on submit button
- Confirm that the document is correct and then select Yes
Select BPO and click on submit
- Your update request has now been submitted
Now note down the URN number. URN will be sent to your registered mobile number and also to your email ID
- You can likewise check your URN status on the web
Note that if you do not upload the scanned original copies of approved documents, your request will be rejected. UIDAI says you have to upload valid documents to avoid rejection of update request
