Mandatory biometric update for THESE people with Aadhaar card

Mandatory biometric update for these people with Aadhaar card, check UIDAI requirements

To enroll your child for Aadhaar, all you need is the child's birth certificate or hospital discharge slip and Aadhaar of both parents.

Aadhaar card, a 12-digit identification number issued by UIDAI to a resident of India, is issued free of charge. This is very useful when you need to submit it as a document proof. There is no age limit for Aadhaar enlistment. Even a newborn baby can be enrolled for Aadhaar, called Shishu Aadhaar.

Parent's Aadhaar number, alongside the youngster's introduction to the world authentication, is adequate to enlist your kid for Aadhaar between the ages of 0-5 years. Biometric information is not collected for children under 5 years of age. What's more, since no biometrics will be caught for youngsters under 5, their UID will be handled in light of segment data and facial photos connected to their parent's UID. These children will need to update their ten finger, iris and facial image biometrics when they are between 5 and 15 years of age.

UIDAI tweeted, "Remember to refresh biometrics in your kid's Aadhaar information between the ages of 5 and 15 years. This mandatory biometric update for the child is free."
